"Rich" is a state of mind. Did you know that in most of the world what the average welfare recipient in the U.S. gets for free would be considered "rich" in other countries such as most places in Africa and India?

The answers of "inherit it" or "win the lottery" are not the best way to get rich. If you look at is statistically you have a very, very low chance of getting rich this way.

I say it's not so much what you make but what you save. I make less thatn $100,000 a year and support a family of 4 yet I am able to save $30,000 a year. I put 100% of this in stocks and mutual funds and most importantly I let it grow and don't go switching it around every time I hear a so called "expert" claim the financial sky is falling. There are calculators online that can predict what you will have over the course of time with this stratagey.

Basically regular savings + interest compounded X a lot of time = rich.

That's basically it.

There is no best way to get rich but the only way to get rich is to have two million dollars or whatever amount you are aiming for.

Research, research, research...
Read all you can about money and finance and then ACT on your knowledge.
If I could recommend only one book for you to read I would recommend Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki .

I agree the best way to wealth is the old fashioned way, inherit it. However if this is not an option for you the best way is to have many other people work and earn it for you. It could be something as simple as selling flowers on street corners. If you have 10,000 people doing it and each nets you only $5.00 a day that's $50,000 a day.

Marry someone rich, buy stocks in the stock market, buy stuff on ebay for really cheap and sell it to a pawn shop or your friends for more money, save up your money (don't go shopping all the time or buying stuff you don't need), if you pay electricity don't leave the lights on, tv on, comp on, so you can save money, and in a few years if you follow these steps you may be richh!! The very best way is to make a substantial contribution to mankind, and to wisely protect your legal rights with copyrights, patents, trade secrets, and so on. It's much more satisfying than inheritance. Your job is to figure out how you are best qualified and equipped to make that contribution, and then work to make it so.
