Standard now is 17inch, but even more so i believe is 19inch which i currently have, both the 17inch and 19inch LCD's mostly support 1280x1024 as their standard "native" resolution, which is standard now (slightly wider then 1280x960 4:3 ratio)

In all honesty, having a bigger monitor would be a waste for me since most things are in this resolution at max (ie games) some support 1600x1200 but its excessive, i would go for a second monitor as oppose to a big one, that way you can organize and set different things to different monitors

15.4 inch, wide screen. Also LCD, 24". Both are great. Used together, I use the LCD for an extension, and I canmake my desktop 4 foot wide.

Get a Dell, LCD, 24" Monitor/TV. Plug right in to the Laptop, and it is too cool.

a 17'' on the desktop is sufficient but on one out of this infinite series of days I will upgrade to a 26'' or 27'' tv with pc inputs as an option to the 17''.

I have a 17 inch CRT Monitor, and although it does serve it's purpose, I'd rather have more desktop space and a 22 inch (Thin- flat panel) widescreen instead.

I've got a 21" and it's good, but I want bigger. I like the widescreen Macs because the monitor looks so huge :)

I have 17" and am happy with it. Anything larger, I think, would be like sitting in the front row at the movies.
