Yes my little heart is broken too. I do think that the game wasn't fair on BOTH sides.
I respect the Mexican players SOOO MUCH for being good sports and so classy in the face of defeat. People can say that the US played better but if the US had lost no way would they have acted as classy as the mexican players. You could just tell. They would have been swearing and angry and acting like diva's. Anyways......I've been pretty sad and dissapointed lately because of the following:
Like 1 or 2 maybe 3 years ago the Cubs lost in the playoffs(cries).
The Bears lost in the Superbowl(cries).
The Bulls lost in the playoffs(cries).
Mexico lost right now(cries).
ALL OF MY TeamS ARE LOSING!!!!!!(CRIES). It sucks but I actually didn't cry when any of them lost. I'm serious, not once did I cry. But I have a theory:
When the Cubs lost the playoffs they weren't playing in Chicago.
When the Bears lost the Superbowl they weren't playing in Chi-Town.
When the Bulls lost they weren't playing in Chicago, I think it was Cleveland.
When Mexico lost they were playing in the United States.
I might have been wrong on some of those but you get the picture. Mexico, for example. When you play in your country you have more confidence. Like this is our turf, you go by our rules and our ways here. We are the kings once you enter our land. You know. Also how awkward could it be. Not only were they entering a foreign land but a land in which their peoploe were currently going through persecution and where they were being looked down upon. You can't deny that there were tensions. So they must have felt like "We're gonna prove to those Americans that we aren't just dirty Mexicans that are only good for manual labor. We're gonna prove that we work hard, we have talent, and that we can make it. We're gonna fight for our people who have been disgraced adn mistreated in this land. blah blah blah.'' AND THEN THEY LOST. And you know even though the Mexicans have fallen so many times, and theyt've lost, and they've never done "as good'' as the Us they had hope. And even when they failed once again despite their valiant efforts they accepted it gracefully Because they knew that they couldn't change what had happened and that they probably can't change what is to come.
THIS IS WHY I AM PROUD TO BE MEXICAN!!!!!! I am also proud to be from Chicago but thats different.

ok, the fact "British law enforcement officials do no longer carry weapons" is erroneous. in case you flow to any airport or extreme portion of risk-free practices (inclusive of embassies), you will locate the law enforcement officials are armed with MP5's and usually times, attack rifles. additionally, there's a small Police tension that has all its officers donning weapons of their region (I forget which). The "average" Police officer in Britain isn't armed. and there is not any desire for them to be armed. The gun regulations in Britain are very strict, very very few civilians (non-police/militia) have weapons, yet interior the rustic, 30-40% of the inhabitants own a firearm through U. S. Constititional ultimate. So if a US Police Officer is responding to a burgulary, there is greater possibility the robber is armed than if a uk Police Officer is responding to a burgulary in Britain. contained concerning unlawful firearms and gangs, they dispatch Firearms officers (such as u . s . SWAT) to handle circumstances related to those. I stay in England, and that i'm individually no longer an recommend for changing something with regard to police having weapons. in spite of if, I do understand interior the U. S., the subculture is somewhat diverse in them respects, and it rather is neccesary that American law enforcement officials are armed.

When you always get to play in the comfort of your own country, well then yes it can't get any less fair.
Mexico vs USA @ Estadio Azteca is a whole different animal. But, let's be realists. Neither Mexico nor USA will win a world cup in the next 20 years.
Bah.

the penalty was fair, this could have easily been a trashing. USA could have blown it out in the final minutes but didn't.

I'm a little bummed about it too. I think that what gets me upset is because I'm Mexican and everyone in my family is so passionate about soccer. Also, most people my age that I know that are Mexican love soccer. I think that what gets me upset is that the kids in my school that are all American hate soccer and they're always dissing the sport. It's not fair.

The penalty was 100% fair, take your Mexico blinders off. We could've scored 3 more goals and we definitely deserved to win.
