I'm buying a new 2007 Chevy Equinox tomorrow?

Question

I'm buying a new equinox Monday for my wife. We have test drove a used one and decided to buy a new one instead. Does anyone have any information on them? Are they safe? Are there any recalls? What are your experience with one?

We made the deal Saturday the banks are closed Saturday!! This was my wifes ideal I wanted something else and already done the research on it! Then she fell in love with the equinox! so that's why I'm asking so lat....

This is a great vehicle, I've had mine for over a year now, with 24,000 miles on it, so I drive ALOT and I love this vehicle, its very reliable, I get great gas mileage, and I LOVE the flexable rear seat. I compared this to Rav4 and CRV and they are 'OK' vehicles, but I need something with "get up and go" instead of playing around on the onramp. You can't beat the warranty with 5 years 100k, and with its cool looks its a great package! Contrats on the purchase! Im thinking about ordering the Equinox Sport when it comes out at the end of summer. Just keep the oil changed, and don't wind it up and redline it at every red light and this will serve you well!

I know someone who has one. She thinks it is cute and comfortable, but not "user friendly" at all. It is gas efficient, but the interior is dull to look at for the cheaper models, but pretty nice for the more expensive ones. The backseat has a lot of legroom, but the whole car is noisy while driving on freeway speeds.
