There is no fun to me in buying, owning or having things-I only have the bare minimum. My joy comes from breathing in fresh clean air, sitting on a rock in the midst of nature, listening to the sound of silence.

Material objects have nothing to do with fun or joy. If they were, you would stop once your purchased whatever you pursued. As most people can attest, the minute you buy it, you move on to the next pursuit.
Fun, however, is not an emotion as joy is. "I feel fun", for example, would be inaccurate to state.
Fun is the linguistic label for something that provides enjoyment. Fun is the state of doing something that provides joy.

I collect Zippo lighters, knives, guns, dvds (I've reached 300 so far). I also like to play with Legos still. I totally agree with your statement, people need to lighten up a little, but, again, not too much. There's a difference between fun, and irresponsible.

My Harley, nothing is more exciting, and yet relaxing than going for a ride, wether just around town, or off for the weekend.
