obtain a tv with a monitor out ...its a different signal output and older tvs wont handle it.

yes I hook mine up it takes a S-video cable and both TV and Laptop have s-video connections then set your computer 2nd monitor up as say default 800x600 res see if that works. My TV is a large LCD so its easyer on the res.

yes there are you can go to a walmart or online and get a usb to tv and or if you have a xbox 360 you can use that to i not sure is ps3 will or not but the walmart thing is a better choice cheaper some tv's have a place for that there blue mostly and you can use S-video to

you need a s-video cable outlet in your laptop and then you can hook it up to you're computer
