I am looking for a good old boy Christian Rock Band?

I am a Petra fan but can't seem to find any who play like them or that I can get into. Know of any?

Try some Whiteheart, Daniel Amos, Phil Keaggy, the Daniel Band, Sweet Comfort Band, AD, PFR (Pray for Rain), Keith Green or Degarmo & Key. These are older bands, but their music is still available on i-Tunes. Mylon Lefevre and Broken Heart is also along these lines.

But I think one of the best artist that is probably just what you are looking for is John Elefante. He has some songs on i-Tunes, and is awesome. He was the lead singer for Kansas after Steve Walsh left. His voice is incredible, and his music is produced very well. (He and his brother became producers for Christian groups in the 90s.)

More modern groups that are similar to Petra and still putting out music would be: Third Day, The Choir, Violet Burning, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Lost Dogs, Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, Lifehouse (I think these guys are the best out right now), and David Crowder Band. Most of these are more alternative, but Third Day and Lifehouse have that rock sound you like.
