Sorry, I haven't kept up with baseball during the past couple of years. But I just realized that some games have 1 team from the national league vs. 1 team from the american league? Does this have anything to do with this "interleague play" I keep hearing about? I'm so out of the loop!

it was introduced in 1997 before that American League and National league did not play each other
