Mya was a coke user. She snorted a strong sort of heroin and OD'd on it. The heroin was white so she presumed it was coke.
Usually heroin is brown and coke is white, but the heroin that Vince chose to buy from Lance (the dealer that ends up helping save her life) was the very strong stuff from (he says) Germany. Vince could've gone for the cheaper brown stuff but he chose the more expensive stuff because he thought it would be better.
The bag fell out of his big open jacket pocket when he sat down on the couch earlier.
Other Pulp Fiction Trivia:
Vincent's brother was Mr Blonde in Reservoir Dogs.
The Bad Motherf**ker wallet prop was actually Tarantinos personal wallet.
The bullet holes in the room where Samuel L Jackson gets shot (and thinks God saved him) were actually already there before they walked in. It's possible the gun that he was shot by was actually loaded with blanks. (or it could be a mistake in filming).
The gold glow represents the 'souls' of the victims of the devil.
Their souls are stolen by the gangsters because they owe them something, e.g they may be in debt.
Mya's shoes are black when she goes out, and gold when she comes back in. Either a goof or she stole shoes whilst out.
The trophy they return with they weren't given but stole. This is revealed when by the news announcer on the radio.
The woman who gets shot when she is standing next to Butch's crashed car in PF is the same actress who gets killed in a car in Reservoir Dogs.
When Butch's girlfriend says she wants a 'pot', Butch doesn't pick up on the fact that she really probably means she wants them to have a baby together.
Vince is reading the same book when he gets shot in the toilet as he is when he is on the toilet in the restaurant scene.
Tarantino originally supposedly wanted Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love to play the parts of Lance and his girlfriend.
Steve Buscemi is the waiter in the Jack Rabbit Slim's, in real life Buscemi is against the principle of tipping.
The fictional Red Apple brand of cigarette features in every Tarantino film where someone smokes.

I figured since it was in a baggie and not the balloon since he (Eric Stoltz) was out she assumed it was coke and had the reaction because it was heroine instead, not completely clear on heroine but dont think you need as much to get off on where most people can do some huge lines when they build up a tolerance of coke

She thought it was cocaine so she snorted it up.
You are not supposed to snort heroine. It messes up something in your brain and thats why she was dying.
