Well, my local pool has a payroll of $6.50 for fourteen and fifteen year-old lifeguards filling in as subs. My brother makes about $100-$120 a week subbing there. A problem is that some places do not certify lifeguards until the age of 15, but thats not always the case.

Between minimum and $10 an hour depending on wether you guard for an agency or a private company. However, most places don't certify lifeguards until they are at least 15.

My daughter only made $7.25 as a lifeguard but $35/$45 per hour as a private swim instructor.
