Washington quarters from 1932 when the were first minted to 1964 are made of .900 silver .100 copper.the coins have .18084 oz. of pure silver. Most of the early ones 1932-1939 have more value as collector items. There are also some rare doubled-dies, as well as over mint marks like a D over an S for the 1950-D quarter. Best bet see a couple of coin dealers. Maybe there is a coin club in your area, they can be of help also. Some one actually needs to see them, so they can be graded and checked. There are actually no web sites that will truly help you.

Any and all quarters minted prior to 1965 were 90% silver.
