There is not a real chart of values. Everyone makes those values up in their own head.

I personally believe that very few things add enough value to offset even half their cost. Paint, clean up & landscape that you do your self may up the value on some houses more than they cost.

Also a fence that adds to the value maybe because of a horrible view you are blocking or enhanced privacy. So it is very localized and specific to the house itself.

I am not sure why you would want a fence! If neighbors are good, an unfenced yard is better. If, however, you still want to add a fence, check from the local real estate agent. Your friendly real estate agent will advise you if you are better off with or without a fence! Best wishes!

I would think it would depend on the real estate market involved. In my particular market, a fenced backyard is merely considered a nice added touch, but it doesn't raise the value of the property one red cent.

probably $2000. Most additions return pennies on the dollar.
