Democracy is a political ideal that doesnt exist in the real world.

True democracy would mean that anybody could be elected.

But in truth, you have to be a rich white guy that has powerful political connections, looks a certain way, says certain things, and never misspeaks about any subject while campaigning.

It means the qualified voters first have to study and understand how the original laws to run the democracy when put in practice will work. In America the laws are written in a sacred document called The U. S. Constitution!

Most Americans citizens 18 years old or older should realize what elected government officials can and cannot do.

You see in the American Democracy it's the people who have the POWER to make changes, through their elected officials........and everyone that resides in America is represented by a congressman or woman......Anyone living in a district of the USA has the right to communicate with his or her congress person about how the country is governed.....Good or Bad!

Each and every congress person and elected government official has taken an oath to up hold the laws set forth in the Constitution in an honest and ethical manner, including the President of the USA.

The President with the approval of Congress {465 members}& The Senate{100 members} can select or appoint Cabinet and Supreme court members to assist in governing the country.

A few of the cabinet positions are:
Secretary of ""DEFENCE""!{There Is No Sec. of WAR}
Secretary of State!
Secretary of the Treasury!
Attorney general!
As examples.

Here is an excerpt from a 1987 National Geographic Magazine:

Ten years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence our founding fathers created what historians called "The Greatest Single Document" struck off by the hand and mind of man.
Our founding fathers created the Constitution of the United States.

For the "FIRST" time in history, power was granted by the people "TO" the Government, and "NOT" by the government to the people!

Now folks do you understand why "We the People" have to elect RON PAUL?????

He's the ONLY Constitutional candidate! He's running on the Republican ticket, and imo, can save the country, if elected! {I'm an Independent but I'm voting for Ron Paul.}

Please Think About This!

"Democracy is three wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. - D'Arcy J.M. Cain (darcy@druid.net) 10/15/1997."

Adam Smith said that government had two purposes; to provide the state with the means to serve the collective needs of the country, and secondly, to distribute the resources of the country to all its citizens in a fair and equitable way. To me, democracy does those things well because people have the guaranteed right to choose leaders who fulfill this mission of government and also have the guaranteed right to throw them out of office if they fail. Key to such democracy is the right of every adult to vote in elections with every vote counting equally, the right of any adult to run for office and the guarantee of regular elections that are free from compromise, fraud, etc
