Deirdre Hunt-Barlow-Rachid-Barlow...

A woman of many men. Many many men. And some dodgy perms & facial glass.

I love Deirdre. Anne Kirkbride who plays Deirdre is a fabulous actress but i think that she is swept aside in the 'good actor' polls for such rubbish people as 'That Hairdresser' or 'That Tracey'...

The youngsters of Corrie are rubbish. David 'Orange Face' Platt makes me vomit, Sarah Loo-Roll and Maria are all CRUD!

There is nothing worse than watching these muppets take over Corrie and leave stars like Deirdre & Rita to sip Gin and remember 'Elsie Tanner'.

Come on people, Anne Kirkbride for the Lifetime Achievement Soap Award. If only for recognition of her fabulously over-used neck muscles!

Oh! Poor Deirdre's neck veins!

Those veins should have an agent and appear on Trisha...But come on...she's not as bad as Ken 'Plank' Barlow!

You forgot Langton before the first Barlow!!! LOL, I know what you mean, I think her neck veins can act better than most of the cast. I particularly dislike Donald Duck and his insepid wife Claire Peacock. Their squeaky voices are almost as grating as nails own a blackboard.

i agree with your point about none of the youngsters matching up to the oldies, but then thats what it was all about the northeners, the hard working women keeping everything sweet at home, but I suppose times change and the younger lot have to come in, all with different accents too, i loved it when annie walker, elsie tanner, ena sharples and minnie all drank ate and slept on the street, the fights were legendarym

I like Deidre too but I don't agree about the young people, I think they make the show interesting. I HATE Ken's miserable mum ....yuck!

OMG!!! Is she still alive????????????? LOL I watched her 20 years ago!! Soaps are pointless now. Life is hard enough without seeing it mirrored on screen. I'm a Londoner and gave up on Eastenders when it became too close to home! My mother WAS Pauline Fowler!!! LOL
