(-a^3)^-2/3

just multiply both the powers
u get
(-a) ^-2
since it s a -ve power it wil b taken in the denominator as +ve
= 1/ (-a)^2
opening the square
=1 / a^2

(-a ³) ^ (-2/3)
= [(-1).a³ ] ^ (-2/3)
= 1 / [ (-1).a³ ] ^ (2/3)
= 1 / [ (-1) ^ (2/3).(a ³) ^ (2/3) ]
= 1 / a ²

(-a^3)^(-2/3) = -(a)^(-3*2/3) = (-1)^(-2/3)* (a^3)^(-2/3)
= (-1)^(-2/3)/(a^(3*2/3)) = (-1)^(-2/3)/a^2
= 1/((-1)^(2/3)*a^2)=1/(((-1)^2)^(1/3)*a^2)= 1/(1^(1/3)*a^2)

= 1/a^2

First simplify the powers:
3 x (-2/3) = -2
So the given fn is -a^-2 = -1/a^2

this would be -a^-2 or -1/a^2...you multiply the exponents to get -a^-6/3.. then reduce the exponent -a^-2... a negative exponent is the same as the coefficient (in this case -1) over the number to the exponent (a^2)
