How can I find what year and model my Yamaha TW Trailway is?

I picked up a Yamaha TW Trailway. The side plates are gone so I don't know what size it is. Don't know what year it is either? Is there a web site where I can look up it's history by the VIN number? Looking at yamaha.com it shows this bike was made from 87-07. Thanks

take the vin to ur local yamaha dealer and they can put it in on the computer and look it up
