Mysteries are my favorite - My all-time favorite author is the late, great, brilliant writer Lawrence Sanders....His classic novel "The First Deadly Sin" hooked me in & I haven't been able to get enough of him since.
His repeat character he puts in some of his books, the detective Edward X Delaney is a facinating character to follow. He was the one author I wanted to meet & have a chance to ask him questions about his writings. One day I was reading a review for one of his new & unfortunately last book & it noted that he had recently passed away - I've been sad ever since, but still enjoy his awesome mysteries....
BTW: My friend works at Eisenhower Hospital where Sidney Sheldon passed away, but before he died, my friend got to have a personal conversation with him. I started my love of mysteries with Sidney Sheldon. He came along & wrote hit after hit. His books are full of glamour & intrigue.
Two exceptional authors, greatly missed!
I forgot about James Patterson - his books keep you guessing & glued until the last page....
