I'm the type wherever I go I fix myself, its not about grabbing attention I just like to fix myself and It makes me feel good at the same time.
The problem is I hear many girls say ''why do you fix yourself if theres no occasion''?

So I was thinking why only fix yourself in a special occasion and feel good about it,when you can have this kind of feeling everyday?

I like to look nice everyday, so I tend to do my hair and put on some makeup just to feel more confident. Although there are days when I get up and just wash my face and brush my hair and decide that it will be a 'plain-Jane' day with no special effort. I think its good to keep your appearance up, it helps keep self confidence going and when you feel good and look good, others see that and respond positively to you...

For me, feeling good about myself has very little to do with whether or not I'm freshly showered, have a dress or skirt and heels on, and actually dug out my makeup and put some on, or if I'm wearing old clothes and have not showered in a few days. It's about being happy with me as a person. It's about knowing that no matter what I have on my husband still loves me and desires me. Not just for my body (he says that's a nice bonus), but for who I am as a person. It's knowing that no matter what, my friends will stand by me. It's knowing that no matter what I do or don't believe or agree with, I'm still a great person.

Yes, I do know the appropriate clothes for the appropriate occasion.

I do feel good about it every day.

Although I will not deny that I love to dress up and look good, how I look is not where I derive my confidence from! Whether I walk out of the door in my finest get-up or hit the grocery store in sweats, I am still confident and I can turn heads... it's all in the confidence. I'd say, no big deal to dress up everyday if that's what you like, but if it means that you feel naked without the clothes, make-up and hair, then it IS a problem. My hubby loves when I am all dressed up, but he definately can never resist the just rolled out of bed, messy hair, t-shirt and boxers look ; )

You shouldn't feel like you need to "fix" yourself up everyday (FYI, horrible word to use). You should be comfortable in your own skin. I only wear eye shadow and that's only sometimes. I rarely ever do my hair because there is not point...but I usually am the one every guy talks to so..it's not for attention for anything...it's about personality. If you all into looks...that's how you will come across to everyone, snobby (no offense, I don't even know you).

I think you should do whatever makes you feel good.. and take no notice of anyone else..
I do normally put on a little make up each day because it does make me fell better about myself but there is nothing wrong with looking nice all of the time, at least you make the effort!! Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

i live in nyc, so everyday i dress up - never go out without doing my hair and makeup and often i wear heels and a dress or skirt... jeans are nice to wear to class, but when i go to my internship, or even out on the town for the day, it still feels good to know that i look better than that girl with the sweatpants on

Basically yes, only when I am going somewhere. The local people know what I look like at good and bad. What difference does it make. I have no one to impress.
