You're asking two completely different questions here.

Homosexuality itself is genetic.

As far as dating PREFERANCE, that is completely based on a multitude of social, psychological and personal aspects.

You could say the same about a Fit guy who only ever dated other fit girls...but then got older, lost his tone, gained weight and then only went for other unfit women.

Personal Body type PREFERANCE has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

At this point it appears to be mainly genetic. Religious people will not like that, but they are ignorant of scientific findings. You can find parallels between the straight and gay world (men don't like fat women, either.)

"Attraction" is mainly genetic, as indicated by research. And what you like is in your genes (no pun intended.)

It's chemical. Studies have proved gay folks are sexually aroused by the phermones of the same sex. They are born that way (well 95% of them anyways), and it's natural. Animals in nature do that too, most often forming close caring couples, not some dominance thing.

The attraction to males is the genetic aspect, the preference for a type would be psychological.

it just means your likes changed. fat people can still like thin people, not every fat person likes other fat people. Same for the muscular thing.

I think people date according to varying levels of a social caste system. If you're "good looking", you can date any kind of person. If you get fat or are fat, you're pretty much stuck with other fat people unless some good looking person chooses you.

Oh, and I think it's both.

The attraction is based on chances of success. Unless somebody likes chubby gay men, the best bet is to attaract those of the same stature. It's called take what you can get.

Genetic. Most gay people (until the present) have hidden it for most of their life. Until they feel they can safely live their life the way they feel.
