assault, to gain an advantage in court ? I heard many lawyers advise their female clients to make those claims, is that true ?

I would think a good lawyer would not advise their client to do that. Some women will do it on their own just because they are so angry and want to get back at the Father, but men also try these kinds of tactics also. I think it is a no win situation when one of the parents try this.

I've not met an attorney that would advise of any unethical approach. I've experienced false accusations without basis and requires time and money to prove otherwise. The result is only more anger and pain, and doesn't provide any benefit especially if there are children involved. In most divorces the Court is only concerned in the well being of the children.

Well, it is a common charge - but it would be very bad to use this in court if not true - upon questioning from both sides, the judge will see through the lies and then it brings all else the woman says into question. Then, the judge doesn't trust anything she says and is mad at her for lying.

My mom did that!!! She did not gain anything from it though.
