Wind is the movement of atmospheric air on a planet. The wind is caused by the different temperatures (and therefore air pressure differences) around a planet - this is caused by the Sun. Other causes of the wind are the temperature differential over the land and over seas, the topography of the land (hills, mountains, plains, etc.), and the rotation of the Earth (which causes the Coriolis force). Air moves from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure.

Wind is caused by varying barametric pressures. It works like osmosis. Volumes of air with higher pressures push air toward areas with lower pressure. If you ever look at a weather map and see black lines across it, these are normally pressure gradient lines, or isobars. The area between the lines have the same pressure. when these lines get really close together, the wind blows stronger. when these lines are farther apart, the wind is usually light, if any.

Wind is the movement of air. Nothing is blowing around. When warm air goes up and cool air goes down, wind is made.

Air is moved around due to heat and that heat ultimately comes from the Sun. Hot air rises, and the air that has risen has to be replaced by other air. This is an extremely simple explanation but hope it helps!

Air in motion is called wind.Usually it blows from high pressure areas to low prssure areas.

hot air rises and the centre of the earth is hot so air near the bottom rises coz it's warm, then it gets colder so it falls which carries on and on so it keeps on flowing
