How does the clutch and gears work. If your braking does the gears go down by itself or you have to gear it down by yourself. I wanna know how the gears work when slowing down and going. One more thing and how to brake correctly.

Thanks =)

Thank you

Most motorcycles are manual shifting and require you to do all the gearing.

I would like to strongly encourage you to take a state approved motorcycle safety course before you hit the road.

Not only will it save you time and money on your insurance and licensing but you will be taught the right habits to keep you alive on the road.

You need to use both brakes evenly to execute a controlled stop. Too much front brake and you will go down in a turn, too much rear and you will skid, fishtail and go down. By the way, going down at any speed sucks! Proper braking will save your behind.

Welcome to the crew, Bro.

its basically like driving a stick shift car but the gear goes one down and 5 up that is if you have a 6 speed transmission. as far as how to slow down and brake i would suggest you take a motorcycle class they will teach you the right way to do it.

It work's pretty much the same way as a car with a manual transmission. Learn how to drive a stick before you ride a motorcycle. Trust me... It will help you alot.

The MSF course will teach you all that and more when you take it.

If you take jeff's advice and think of it like a car, you will crash during your first panic stop from locking up the rear wheel.

It's your call: learn the correct way or die.

Take a course, or get lessons from an experienced responsible rider.
