They are the daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and friends of Gay people.

Becuase the support the LGBT community. When I went to Gay Pride in NYC yesterday I saw many straight couples or straight families there. Wayyy more than I had expected. It was nice to see so many heterosexuals supporting our community! :-)

They may have family, friends or collegues that are gay. They may be showing support for the gay pride movement. Perhaps they are bi or gay themselves, and just unwilling or not ready to reveal that information. There are a lot of possibilities. A Gay Pride festival is not only attended by gay individuals, but all of those people who support gay rights...no matter what orientation they may be.

Because, assuming that they are there, they support pride and equal rights for all, it's not that hard to think and infer such a conclusion. Try it out sometime.

Well for me, the reason I would be there ... I am a mom of a lesbian daughter, so I would be there to not only support her but the young women and young men in her life!
Why wouldn't I be there?
