You just stereotyped an entire group of people by basically saying that all blacks act a certain way. How else would you come to the conclusion that white people "act black"? What is acting black? There is no such thing!

I am black and I know what you mean or what you are trying to say. Some do go a little to far with the "acting black thing" because they may be thinking "i look cool"
But you can't really say all white people because the fact of the matter is some white people hate blacks. Example: the people that are still in the KKK. But the ones that do "act black" might just be being themselves. But there are way too many white people that do not want to even have a relationship past associates with blacks for you to ask a question like that.

That's a seriously ignorant question.
What is "acting black" anyways? Is that acting like black people from Angola, or black people from the UK, or black people from, say, Yuma, TN?
Or do all black people have some hivemind thing going on like body snatchers?
That really is a silly question.

i think people who act like something they are not, are confused and have low self esteem. what is really funny is that i know some white people who try to act like rappers. the joke is that most rappers do not act that way in real life. it just a persona used to further careers.

I'ts not everyone, and not always. But for the ones who are like tht...It's mostly because they want to fit in and feel important or to be someone they're not because they were not happy being who they were. But some people are just raised in tht lifestyle and tht's normal to them.

I'm white and I have no interest whatsoever in "being black". And, I'm a blues musician! I don't see any point whatsoever in trying to be something that I can never be - makes no sense to me at all. I am what I am, and I'm not black and don't care to be.

Beats me.... If you're speaking of the present youth culture I wonder why *anyone* would want to act that way. Bill Cosby seemingly shares my feelings.

They just want to belong. It depends on your environment on how you act. Ghetto=Ghetto, Wall-street=Wall-street. You get it?
