Bush and his crime family do what is in their best interest, be it selling out ones own country out or manipulating the Constitution for personal gain. These vile beasts belong locked up somewhere far from the civilized world.

Do you realize how many Saudis are and have been going through flight school and learning how to fly military helicopters? Long before Bush came into office. They are a flight instructors nightmare because many are not too bright. However, unlike our own men, they aren't allowed to flunk. They get to repeat until they finally pass.
This has been an ongoing relationship for a long time and certainly can't be pinpointed solely to the Bush regime. I would imagine that oil has played a major part in this for all of the administrations who have supported the Saudis.

There is no such thing as a "friendly" dictator! Those people in our own government who do business with these people, do not support the interests of the people of this country, and so do not represent the people in any real way. They are corrupt, and support only corruption. And, yes they do want the oil, and other things. *sm*

Even though we would like to see every country become a free democracy, and we know that in a typical dictatorship that tyranny and corruption are common, the fact of the matter is that we don't just automatically oppose Countries or their Leaders, on the sole grounds that they are a dictatorship. If they are a good and just leader then what is the problem. Do you not like that they are rich? Do you not like that they have oil?

What you say would work in a perfect world...a world where the human element is removed.
This is not a perfect world. The enemy of my enemy is my friend....it is the basis for pacts, treaty's and agreements...all of which may be broken.
Oil....that is a world commodity. I predict that the world will be at war for oil in the future...and I think it will start with Asia...the fastest growing continent in the world....we'll see.

We have been doing that for over 100 years..what they provide is a stable platform for our corportations to do as they please to profit there and benefit us here. Our history in south america is rife with this ploy. The sauds were put in power by the brits and we keep them in power as straw bosses for our oil interests

We get most of our oil from Canada, which, last time I checked was not under the rule of the Saudi Royal Family.
