No full perimeter frames are the same as Chevy caprice that year. If anything the extra weight makes the fleetwood flex more for that smooth ride.

I didn't catch the year you were asking about, but I know the last years of the big Caprice when it was made in Arlington TX. that plan also made Buick Roadmaster and Cadillac Fleetwood. All those cars shared the same frame.

no actually they use a full frame structure,but it still has enough flex to it to give it a good ride,but its based on just about the same chassis as a Chevy caprice,but they do have a strong frame in under them,really any full size Chevy has a full frame,that's where you get to comfort and the safety from on those,good luck hope this helps.
