When I was 9 we got stuck in the elevator with 20 or more people after a dolphin show at the Aquatarium on the beach. To this day if there are more than 5 people in the elevator car, I pass for the next one. I would rather be stuck alone than with 19 idiots.

Only for a few minutes, not long enough to call for help. That was enough for me. There were many people on the elevator, I think that would be the worse, having the elevator full and then get stuck.

Yes I was and it was an old service elevator that could only squeeze in 2 people rather crowded and it had a manually opening gate only about 3 feet high so you could watch the walls and floors go by as you rose. It stuck between floors and I was trapped for 20 minutes before being discovered .

Yes, and it was so scary. Me and 4 of are friends were all drunk at a party and we went on the elevator because we were too lazy to walk the floors back up to the ballroom. We were jumping around in the elevator and one of my friends jumped into the door and we hear boom. Then the elevator stopped. We were like sh*t were screwed. We thought we were gonna get out in 10 minutes but then we noticed we didn't have any service. We pushed the emergency button a million times. No one would notice. My friend got one bar on his cell phone thanks to Verizon and he called his dad. He was like help me I'm stuck in the elevator. Then help came, but the door was jammed. They kept on pulling on it until they got a little crease open. They slipped in some water because by this point it was just so hot in the elevator we thought we were gonna die because the air was running out. After 1 hour we finally got out of it. With me and my friends tugging on the door from are side and some other big guys on the other side it finally opened. I think elevators are safe but you shouldn't mess around on them.

Yes. I was 12 and with my mother and grandmother. It was not so bad since it was a Metro elevator and made of glass. We just keep going up and down.
I think the worst part was when the security guard came along to help us and stood there and laughed for 5 minutes before calling anyone. BOOO on him!!!

Yes. Well kind of. Me and a friend got in an elevator, we talked for about 5 minutes so we didn't notice it wasn't moving. We panicked and started screaming for help and banging on the door. Turns out we never pushed the button =) Oops!

Working in some older hospitals, it's gotten kinda routine. Once the door was cracked open only a few inches and stuck for about half an hour and I had to "GO"; so the nurses were laughing at me while waiting for the maintenance crew, and they squeezed a Foley catheter and bag through the crack for me.
