Mostly when I have free time I write poetry or read books, but lately that has seemed boring. I'm not into most popular sports like baseball, football, basketball, etc. (By sport I mean something that gets me moving.) Does anyone have any suggestions? I could really use advice! I am a wacky sort of girl, so maybe I need a wacky sport...

Tennis is a great sport because you only need one partner (vs a team). Golf is great because you can do it by yourself - you don't need to find someone to do it with because they will put you with a group at the course).

Kickball, Dodgeball, and Pillow Fighting are all relatively new (or re-emerging). They seem wacky so you might like them.

It depends on if you're into competitive sports or just like to be on your own. If you feel like being on your own, you could try going for jogs. You could even listen to a book on an iPod as your running. If that doesn't work for you, maybe you could try swimming or tennis?

My personal favorite is racquetball.

It gets you moving, you get to bang a ball around, and run into walls, and dive as much (or little) as you want. Plus, when you grunt, scream or make whatever noises you want, it is all enclosed, so it is louder.

And you don't have to chase after balls as much as you do with tennis or golf because of the enclosure.
