Teenagers and a 19month old. You are a bear for punishment. Put the teenagers and hubby on kitchen and baby sitting duty and go to the spa for an hour or so. Relax in the hot tub and read a good book while they earn their keep. You deserve it.

well.. I know you can't really do this several times a day but when I am stresses I really enjoy a hot bubble bath with candles around me. Getting a massage or pedicure is really relaxing as well. But if you can't get away from the younger child that long, you might try strapping her in a stroller and taking a walk. When my head is flooded I love to walk around the block and clear everything from my mind. I feel great after I am done. You daughter will enjoy it too and probably catch some zzz's. One more option is to make hubby watch the kids for a while each day and curl up with a good book and allow no disruptions. Good Luck!

Go into the bathroom and lock the door. Take a nice hot bubble bath and maybe play some relaxing music. You can also light candles and keep the lights off to help set a relaxing mood. Tell everyone it's your time and not to bother you for 30 mins (or however long you feel).

Try taking a yoga class at you local YMCA or gym. Trust me, don't do advanced yoga or spin classes. They are challenging. Beginner yoga is relaxing. Then you can move up to spin and advanced yoga. Also try pilaties if there is no yoga classes. I do yoga in the morning and sometimes before bed. Its a great exercise. When I get home from yoga class, I'm ready to tackle whatever comes my way and I'm relaxed and ready to go! Good luck in your search! (PS sorry for spelling errors!)

Many people don't know how to do this but meditation really works! I know this because its involve in basically every thing I do in my religion. The easiest way to do it is to sit with your legs crossed and your hands on your thighs, drop your gaze to about 2 feet in front of you. Then focus on your breathing. When a thought arises let it go with your out breath.Believe me this works... meditation also helps you to focus better!

i dont know if this is do able but some yoga exercises really help relax me and they only take 5 mins or so.....try deep breathing, there positions you can do that will unwind you really fast... like sitting in a lotus position or stretching!!..google yoga online and pick some positions you like ...its really easy and it really works.... try a quick warm shower... ice tea is wonderful and helps ... take quick naps... a 5 min nap can refresh you for hours....drink juices and food full of energy like breads, yogurt they help keep you up and going... =) you can also journal about your feelings and thoughts and about everything that happened in your day...that could also de-stress you and give you a outlet... =) i hope this helps!!...oooo and i forgot get some yoga music aswell or any relaxation music it helps your mind focus and think clearly !!

I have an electronic thing called a "Super Mind Machine". It uses lights and sounds to put your brain in varying states of relaxation. It's great. I don't know if they're still available (I got mine a long time ago), but I will look.
