how do u do the wifi trade with friends thing on pokemon diamond?

You need to get the Pal Pad from Jublife city after beating the gym leader there and then get a friend code and go to pal pad and have it registered (Their name and friend code) then head to the basement of the pokemon center and talk to the woman in the middle and your ready to battle and trade with friends.

First, make sure that you have a wi-fi connection by wireless router or through a USB in your computer.
