lmao, no it's not necessary, i assume your smart enuff to know you asked a question, it's just yahoo pretending to be alert and on the ball. with yahoo, its the appearance of doing the right thing, without actually DOING the right thing

Do you mean that they notify you by email when you receive an answer to your Question? If this is what you are referring to, you can always choose to opt out of that option in your profile page.
