it would differ with every person alive
some have big tongues which take bigger, harder licks, and some have small.
so it could be 500 for one person or 200 for another
I've thought real hard on this topic
and I think it was so wrong for the owl to eat that kids tootsie pop
i mean come on, he was a kid!
I would have bitchslapped that owl if he did that and demanded a new sucker

I, too, have wondered about the answer to this question. I, finally, did a search and unfortunately, there isn't a definitive answer. Studies were conducted but all resulted in different outcome. You can read more about it in the link I've provided.
