I have had a strict upbringing and have just started going out with a nice guy. I have been quite coy about how many boyfriends etc, but should I tell him that I have never had sex before. I have dated, but this was in the church and I was always chaperonned.

Can he tell that I'm a virgin and is this somethign to be ashamed of at my age?

This is nothing to be ashamed of - many would say its something to be very proud of! It shows that you are respectful of yourself and your partners. Your new boyfriend will not think any less of you because of this.

When the time comes that you might think about having sex, i think you should tell him, just so that he is aware, and can be gentle, reassuring, and understanding. You might be a bit nervous, and so if he picks this up, he would be understanding - and maybe point you in the right direction. He can't tell however, if you dont tell him, unless, after the first time you do it, you bleed a little.

Hope this helps a little.

Most girls don't last till the age of 24 as a virgin, but that's nothing to be ashamed of. Don't feel bad. Just keep on dating him, and when you get to something more intimate, just make a short statement like, "Be careful. I've never done this before". He shouldn't have a problem with it, and if he does, then he's just a plain old jerk.

There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at your age and there is nothing to be ashamed of, especially since you are not married. The best thing is just to open up and to be honest.

First, being a virgin at 24 is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of at all. I' am a virgin at 21 and proud of it. It shows that you respected yourself to wait and your morals. Yes, you should tell him to give him because you need to let him know wear you stand on sex and intimacy. It is better to be honest and open. If you likes you, he will respect and not care if you are a virgin or not.

Oh yeah you can go ahead and tell him that your a virgin I don't think that its Anything to be ashamed of at all I think in your case its Perfectly fine and/or normal that you are what you are. So yeah you can tell him that your a virgin and he should be fine with it because if hes Not ok with you being a virgin then he obviously doesn't like(or love) you like a boyfriend should with his girlfriend.

Sure tell him you'll most likely will end up with a ring from him. I was 25 years old when I got married she knows I was still a virgin and that makes her very proud. And 32 years later she is still my one and only. Three of my sons are married and all three were virgins when they got married. That's the way I was taught it should be and I taught them the same .

It's nothing to be ashamed of; as a guy I'd love to find someone like that. It tells me that she's not one of those girls who's been around the block, you know? And I guess that appeals to me because at 29, I've only had 2 partners myself. I'm not one of those guys who's done the entire cheerleading team and all the ladies at the bar.

It's nothing to be ashamed about, really. You are supposed to wait until marriage anyway if you are strict in your religion and he will like the fact that you haven't done anything with other guys.

What, be ashamed for being sexually moral??!?!!?!? KEEP IT UP!! Tell him that you are a virgin, and you would like to stay that way ok and if he is any good he will respect your values and you! But if not, then he was no good and you should be glad he is gone!!!

you have to be PROUD of yourself. you have done nothing wrong and others have to follow your example not the other way round. A lot of guys like virgins, and if they don't they're not worthed. In fact i think you should look for a guy like that "wants his wife to be, to be a virgin". Do not allow him to touch you until you get married.
