Obese hamburger eating slobs ARE at the forefront of evolution. They are that bit closer to meeting their maker than those of us who take care of our bodies.

Once one leaves the atmosphere it makes no difference what shape one assumes as there is no wind resistance in space.

Unless acted on by an outside force, (including earth's gravity,) liquids form a spherical blob as a result of their own gravity. So do obese people have more personal gravity??

Fluids form speheres in space when they have achieved hydrostatic equilibrium, that means that they have balanced all forces acting upon them and become 'stable'. That's why stars are round, the internal forces making it expand are balanced with the weight of it trying to make it collapse. Also the spere is the geometric form with the least surface per volume.
As how this relates to space travel well, not much really for there are no aerodynamic considerations to be taken into account and there are far more efficient shapes for specific missions to be accomplished.

It doesn't really matter what shape a space craft is. Spherical objects are the best way to go to reduce friction and drag but since there is no atmosphere in space, it doesn't matter. Rockets, shuttles etc aren't spherical and they were thought up by some right clever dicks.

If u spend a long time in 0 Gravity u may not have many bones left. Your body dumps calcium and if u are there a long tine ?????

no, because they would all have heart failure (high cholesterol etc.) and so on on thew way up. (also, NASA pays so much already, the extra food and materials would not be cost-effective) .

Oh, and to go into space you have to be FIT, something no obese person can be.

Burp!

Oh, excuse me ... I don't know what the ideal body shape for space travel might be, but could you pass me the butter for my bacon?

Thanks!
