I think endangered species should be protected at all costs
A licence is essential for a sporran which is needed for a kilt.
There are a number of loopholes in conservation regulations.,
which need tightening up.
The Scottish Rugby team have often complained about their jockstraps & want them checked out, to fall in line with other EU members.

Why not just stop making the sporrans out of badger fur and leave the existing ones alone? Maybe that is too difficult.
Taxing sporrans is not going to bring the badgers back to life.
