SpyLocked is the latest rogue anti-spyware program to come out from the makers of SpyDawn and Virusburst. SpyLocked is installed by a trojan called Zlob, which attempts to trick you into buying the alleged anti-spyware program. Once you're infected with SpyLocked, a fake security message similar to a Windows notification pops up saying your PC is infected with malware. This SpyLocked message is used to lure you into purchasing, downloading and installing their program to remove the imaginary spyware.

SpyLocked may also automatically launch at your computer's startup and scan your computer. SpyLocked can be extremely difficult to remove manually, and will continue to try to recreate itself.

This will remove it, free.

You have one of the latest variants of the Smitfraud infection.

--------------------------------

How to remove SpyLocked (Removal instructions using the free Smitfraud Fix removal tool) instructions are at this site:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic85376.html#automated

------------------------------

Most "general-purpose" anti-malware programs such as Norton, AVG, AdAware, etc. can not or will not remove this pest Smitfraud or they will charge you to remove it after a "free" scan. And most who would tell you such, have no actual factual information. They are simply touting there favorite anti-virus or anti-spyware as as "cure for everything". There is no such thing!

--------------------------------

BTW, SpyLocker often gets installed when someone goes to view a video at a "not-so well-known" website. The website will say that a "special" codec is needed to view it, and asks to download it to you. If you allow the download, you will NOT be downloading a codec, you will actually download a trojan called Zlob. The moral is, never allow a website to download "stuff" unless it's a well known and respected site. And oh yeah, that video would have played just fine without that "special" codec! P2P downloads using programs such as Limewire have also been known to be infected with Spylocked.

Good luck!

spylocked is a spyware only way you could rid of it is by download an anti spyware but only problem might be that sometimes it might block you from the sites that might prevent it from deleting it so if u have another computer download it from there and put it on a disk. another problem might be that because you didnn't install the spyware by youself there might be also a trojan on your computer.
go to these sites :)
spybot search and destroy- spyware +adware

Click start, click all programs, click PC help and tools, click system recovery to restore your computer to as it was when purchased. You may loose some programing so it is advisable that you have the recovery discs. ( ie. microsoft Office) This will clean all the garbage from your computer that you did not install yourself. Good luck, this should take about a half hour and try to avoid the porn sites---Alan.

spylocked is a annoying piece of spyware installed by the dangerous "zlob trojan horse" it leaves a tray icon that when clicked on takes you to a website advertising fraudulent software.
