I had Chris Carpender and Kenny Rodgers when the season began, and they were both injured. I benched them, and about 2 weeks ago, traded Carpender for Arroyo to try to get some points, but I kept Rodgers on my bench. Rodgers is healthy now, and pitching well,so I'm starting him. Did I do the right thing, trading Carpender and keeping Rodgers.

Yes you did the right thing. Rogers came back and pitched well already, Carpenter's still re-habbing, and hasn't thrown a breaking pitch yet. I think you did well to get Arroyo; Carp won't be back until at least the end of July, and it's anyone's guess how effective he'll be then.

Who are Chris Carpender and Kenny Rodgers?

I think Carpenter is a better pitcher than Rogers and will have better numbers like ERA, and K's, but Rogers is playing for the best offense in the league right now. He'll get a lot more win oppurtunities. I'd say it's a good move.

You did a good job keeping Rogers. Sadly, I don't think Arroyo was worth trading for and he probably won't be as good as Carpenter. If he ends up not being the player you thought he would be you should probably trade him. I hope this helps.

Only time will tell ! I had a similar situation in my fantasy league so I benched my injured player and traded a non producing player for a replacement for the benched player. So far for me its worked out well. You can't predict fantasy sports so just keep an eye on the situation on a daily basis.
