From your question it appears you want to travel to Shirdi.
Well if that is so then you need not go to the Bombay Central Bus Depo.
For Shirdi you have to go to Dadar - Mahatre Pen Company Shirdi Nasik Bus Stand. It is on Tulsi Pipe road.
However, I do not think they have any volvos leaving from there.
If you are in santacruz you should try the bus service run by NEETA. the buses are good and they have packages too...

The fastest way to reach Bombay Central Bus Depot from Santa Cruz is by suburban train, which will take approximately 30 minutes travel. The Bombay Central Bus Stand is located near Bombay Central Railway Station.
However if you want to go by Taxi, it will cost around 150 to 200 rupees.
As far as gitting seat in VOLVO bus without reservation, it will depend on the date and time of travel.
