Serial Killers have all started abusing animals. I think there is something pathologically wrong with a person who abuses an animal.

Do we really need to fine a person who abuses an animal who will then move onto people walking around society?

I am in favor of a long prison sentence.

Yes. There should definitely be stiffer penalties for those who abuse animals. I say we either execute them by a firing squad, or behead them. Yes, I am serious. Do the same to anyone who physically abuses people. Maybe people who just can't seem to control themselves will get a clue about their non-right to be abusive. Whatever is being done now, isn't working. Prison just costs the taxpayers money.

actually when a person is accused of animal abuse the conviction is stronger than if they per say abused a child, animals have more rights than people, at first they may get slapped on the wrist but 2 or more offences the charges go up, in which they should but i think if someone is abusing anything people or animals the laws should be strict, because this is something that they will not quit doing in most cases.

I guess it depends on where a person lives, but in general, no I don't think there should be such a law. I have a dear friend who takes in all the strays and unwanted animals, and gives them all the proper care and love they deserve. I also take in strays; I can't stand to see an animal uncared for. Without such people as my friend, who has over 20 cats and about 5 dogs, these poor loving animals would wind up in the pound and probably be gassed. No limit unless they live in an area where it would be offensive to neighbors. Hopefully, those neighbors would have hearts for those poor babies.

I do indeed. Animals feel pain and have exactly the same nervous system that people have. They also have emotions, just as people do. If it is wrong to harm children, it is just as wrong to harm an animal. Both are dependent on us. (I am not against hunting, etc.)

well to be honest I was thinking more along the lines of the death penalty for abusing animals cases . I mean eventually they will kill a human and get the death penalty anyway . do you see my point ? Yeah definately in favor of the death penalty. good luck .

If an animal is no threat, then we should not harm it!
