Red is for blood shed. White is for purity. Blue is for bravery. The stars represent each state. The forth star in the forth row represents Texas. The flag starts at top in red and stops at bottom in red. There are 13 strips, 7 red and 6 white, which represents the 13 colonies.

Red- For the blood shed by our military
White- For purity ;as a new nation and new beginning.
Blue- For Heaven
There are 13 stripes in the flag which represents the 13 original colonies.
Since it's creation,Old Glory is the only flag in the history of the world that has gone thru many changes.
Oh and by the way,the 29th star in the flag represents TEXAS(1845).
