Follow the beat of the drums (if they are pronounced) or the *BASS* line. If your stereo is sophisticated enough to have a bass control, turn it up. You will feel the bass and be able to respond to it. You will especially feel it if you have a sub-woofer on your system.

Then, dance to what your body feels.

You might get some rhythm if you practice, but there are some people who just can't find a beat. I have seen this with fitness instructors (very few) who just can't pick up a beat count.

This has nothing to do with a persons ethnicity, it's just the way they are born.

Give it a try and if it's not working for you try something else.

Best of luck

oy dont be racist against white people! I've got great rhythm lol =] jk. practice listening to the rhythm in music. sit down in a quiet place, close ur eyes, and listen. then practice counting out the 8 counts. pretty soon it willl become natural and u'll hear them (8 counts) w/o trying

It's certain that racism has no part. Almost everybody can develop rhythm. It may come just with practice and certainly will with a combination of training and practice.
