Hi. Babies will hate some foods. What I did for my 2 when they were babies was I made my own jar food. It is easy, and you can make it tastier. I would save some of the baby food jars. My mother did her own canning of tomatos and green beans which helped me out. I washed and boiled the jars and covers good. Then I cook the fruits and veggies all seperate here are some:
1)Apples I would buy the sweet apples, peel them, cut them into tiny cubes and boil them until soft to mash. Then I would mash them adding a touch of sugar and cinnamon. I made my own apple sauce. I had to keep making this because my 2 were always wanting more.
2) Pears. Do the same as the apples. Make sure the pears are sweet and juicy.
3) Carrots, my son's favorite. I did the same as apples, but when mashed I would add a touch of butter. He loved it do the same with the peas. I had to constantly make these two veggies because he loved them. So since my mother did canning, she made me a few large jars of carrots and peas. None lasted. My son ate it all. I would feed him and take a taste to try and he would screem at me, so I was left out.
For tomatos, I would wash one real good. then cut it in cubes. Then my mother said to add a dash of sugar. This sounds strange, but my son at it. He loved it. Not too much sugar, just a bit on the tip of the baby spoon and sprinkle all over the cubes. Beets, spinach were out because I hate them and my kids threw them up. So for lettuce I would take a whole leaf, wash it good in cold water. Then I sat with my kids and began eating some and they would ask for a bit. They loved it. I was left without lettuce for me.(ha,ha). But there are probably other ways for your child to eat. You can check with a pediatric nutricionist. I was getting WIC and while I was waiting for my turn at the pediatics, the WIC nutricionist would give recibes and advice on preparing different meals. Now, she would actually prepare them right there in the waiting room so that we could try them. But go slowly, start with one fruit first for about a week, that is if your child eats it then keep on for a week, then a week later start another. This way he will get used to the taste and distinguish the fruits. If in any case your child does not accept that specific fruit or veggie, then do not force him now. Maybe later on you can try again. Best of wishes.

My daughter changed her habits daily. Her favorite was a gerber pear-pineapple thing. Sounded gross but she would eat the entire jar. For a long time she loved bananas but like I said the next weeks she did not like them.
Honestly I gave up feeding her solids for a few months and only tried once a day until she wanted the solids. Babies can go up to a year with out solids and be perfectly healthy the main thing is that you need to try and introduce them to them

Mine hated peas. They say it can take up to trying something 10 times before the baby actually begins to eat it.

Bananas at first. And the plain rice cereal. They never liked the rice cereal but now they love bananas. Just keep trying those foods with your baby. It might just be the taste is too intense for your baby. Try mixing in the cereal to "water-down" the taste. Might work, or your baby could just be one of those baby's who has to try everything a few times before decides s/he likes it.

sweet peas and carrots, but it changed a month or so later. I found that adding them to the rice cereal helped maybe the consistency was a little thicker and more appealing, who knows.

My daughter is 7 months. I find she LOVES avocado and banana(her first food). Our DCP said she gave her apple sauce the other day and had to hold her back from eating the whole cup! But then again, she offered her flavored applesauce >_< Oh well, she's still alive lol

My daughter hates every fruit we've tried so far, peaches, apples, and bananas. But man has she gobbled up all the vegetables. We just started carrots and she loves them.

Meat and broccoli. She's 2 1/2 and just started eating meat with dinner. She's a little better about broccoli if I disguise it.
