i want to have a paintball party but I am not sure of the souvenirs, i decided that I would give give away these real but dead scorpions inside an acrylic case as keychains and then at the back engraved text that would say "Thanks.. blah blah.. etc" but i asked for the suggestion of my bf and he told me that it's good but it has nothing to do with paintball party.
It discouraged me that my idea doesn't sound too great. but i only asked one person.
the scorpion thing well speaks more about me rather than the event. I love scorpions and I keep them as pets..
will it work great for a paintball party? i don't want my guests to think the same as my bf but as much as possible i want them to say that they enjoyed my party and the souvenirs were awesome too.

Personally I think it's a waste of your time and money. Your guests are going to remember the fun they had at the party, not some random dust-sucking piece of junk. I'd probably leave a dead scorpion in plastic because it's creepy. I think your bf is just trying to be nice.

Since you are going to be making the favors, I would like to make a small addition to your idea. If everyone in your party KNOWS you are into scorpions then use them. However to make the favor "themed", I would suggest either painting the critters with "blots" of paint like when you are hit with a paint ball OR take the smallest paint balls you can fine and either place then in the acrylic between the claws of the scorpion or at the tip of its tail. Then your party guest will remember you, your pets and your party. If you are going to be playing in teams, make your team the scorpions vs. blah blah blah. Just think of a creative way to incorporate your pets. You have a blessed birthday.

my personal opnion kick up the velocity and give everyone a nice big fat bruise/cut and if your lucky they might have a scar thats a good souvenir but i dunno if you got alot of girls coming they might not be into that but guys on the other hand are always up for battle wounds atleast i know i am but scorpians are cool but like the one very rude person said it would probably cost you a bit and some people wouldnt care but using the paintballs with it is a cool idea like the other ppl had and i know they make 6mm paintballs for airsoft guns bc a normal sized one is a little big for a scorpian unless they are really big and do something that is you what ppl remember is something out of the norm do what you think would be you but also memorable

Souvenir is French for "to remember", so your boyfriend is right, but you can add some kind of scorpion targets on the paintball field to make it tie in.
