Take the phone off the hook, disconnect the cable modem....go into my stereo room, lock the door and don't re-emerge until I feel 'fine and dandy' again.

I stomp and yell. Which ended me up in the ER yesterday with a sprained heel. I was talking to an Indian computer tech named Freddie who spoke about 2 words of clear English.

Playing loud music & yelling it (I have special "Angry Songs".)
Doing a kind of "role play" (when I am by myself) w/the person I am angry at (or issue) & just ranting out loud what I feel to just get it out.

Lastly, I journal or write a lot about stuff, including what makes me angry. I also write a lot of letters that I never send but it helps to get the emotion out.

No.Not all.Just the number 2.It's the best way.You feel like you have just killed someone,and I dont say it's a good thing,but it feels great after you have been killed inside by anger and frustration.

I've been known to slam doors & throw things, but I'm working on that. I try to go & do something useful, maybe take a short walk or simply say quietly, "God, give me patience!"

1. i go for a good 30 - 60 minute run
2. i calm myself down by focusing my mind on one very positive thing and it gives my anger / negatitvity a good kick out of my mind.
3. i talk to one of my friends or sister

Go to the gym and have a good work out...overall I feel better mentally and physically at the end.
