Toby Keith is a typical jingoistic redneck making a big noise to cover up the fact that he's lacking in the p*n*s department.
Sure his music is meant to rouse youth to conservative action, but it's no different than the anit-war popular music that permeated radio during the Vietnam era.
Culture is one of the great propaganda tools at the disposal of any political ideology.

Unless you heard a different report than me, I hardly think Keith saying that he is considering Thompson but hasn't made up his mind constitutes "squawking."
And when rappers, and the like, stop squawking about rape and other violent crimes in their "beautiful" music (insert sarcasm here), then you can call Keith's righteous indignation as hate music.

I dont happen to like Toby Keith's music but to say he is anymore a propagandist than any other musician, Dixie Chicks, rappers etc, is assinine. Liberals need to understand that some people actually love the country that gives them freedom and understand that even though imperfect, she is beyond compare. Stop allowing the nutjobs to be make you feel guilty about something you have no reason to feel guilty for. Allow yourself to see that America is a force for good in the world and is the most charitable nation to ever exist. Allow yourself to see that EVERYONE is entitled to freedom not just your upity ***.

I bet you keep an *** whipping anytime you walk outside...that is unless you're living in some west coast commune, which is likely the case from your grossly anti-American banter. Dude, if you feel the USA sucks as badly as you profess, leave! We neither need nor want your pansy a*s here.

H...Hate music!? How rude! Most country singers are the most able to identify with the American people. Toby Keith is not preaching "hate". He is expressing his patriotism and determination to fight against those who wish to kill us.

jswnwv- he does USO tours every year...this year he was caught in a cross fire trying to entertain and support the troops unlike many ungratefuls here in the US. I think he has done more to help our cause than you would even think about doing....

If he were popular back in the 1940's and 50's it wouldn't be "putting boots up people's asses" it would be burning crucifixes on 'colored's' lawn", "and throwing Jews and Gays in ovens."
Seriously. LOL! He should just come out with that - you know he wants to.

Hate music? If you don't like it, I suggest you don't buy the record. If enough people agree with you, he won't make any money. It's called voting with your wallet. Welcome to capitalism.
