hiya lil sister of sixthformer_1994!
Not many but some people do still have slight periods in early stages of pregnancy. i have family members who had periods for the first 3 months of pregnancy! Apparently its not that uncommon, but if people experience it they always get checked out just to make sure everything is ok, as your not really suppose to have them. Hope i have helped! And if your getting any abuse of people of here just ignore them! ok hunni? Love Danni x

Normally no, however some women do still have periods even though they are pregnant. I did and only discovered I was pregnant when I was 5 months gone. Because I had been bleeding, I didn't suspect a thing! I just thought I was putting on a bit of weight. Ha Ha!

Well, usually women do not have periods while pregnant. The reason why you get your period is because your uterus is shedding the lining and letting the egg go. So technically your uterus would be expelling anything there. But it depends of course. I myself got my period right on time when I was supposed to, but I was about a week pregnant!! I knew when I got my period it was not normal, the color was a weird orange red. (too much info!) After that I didn't receive my period for the rest of my pregnancy. Of course after you have your baby, you bleed for about 5-7 weeks!! Then your period will usually go back to normal. Hope this helps!

For my 2 pregnancies, I did not have my period, but if you or someone you know does get their period and is pregnant, then she will have to go to an ob/gyn asap. In rare cases this will happen, but it is not supposed to because this will affect the baby. For my daughter who was born at 9 months, I had a little bleeding in the 7th month, but this was because she was moving too much and was getting in possition. She was born healthy and strong.

You don't get "periods" but it is possible to bleed. A "period" implies that the lining of the uterus is shed, and therefor there is no pregnancy. Bleeding can occur without the uterin lining being removed.

Visit a doctor if you believe you are pregnant or if you are bleeding during pregnancy.

No you don't. There are some instances where women may bleed when they're pregnant, but being pregnant is supposed to stop your period.

Your period is caused when the lining of your uterus, which has built up and thickened to receive a fertizilized egg, dissolves and runs off.

If a fertilized egg implants in the lining, it doesn't dissolve, and the woman is pregnant.

no you dont for the duration of the pregnancy, but once youve had the baby you can bleed for between the duration of a normal period and about 8 weeks it depends on your body.

NO, a period is caused by the shedding of the lining of the uterus preparing it for pregnancy. IF a woman is pregnant theres no reason to shed the lining.
Lack of a period is a sign of pregnancy.
