Many contests, online and offline, are hoaxes. Remember how back in 2001, McDonald's had sub-contracted with Simon Marketing, Inc. to conduct its Monopoly Sweepstakes? And how their head of security Jerome Jacobson noticed a flaw in the system, allowing him to remove all of the high-dollar winning cards so that he could give them to his friends? It's much easier to conduct fraudulent activities online than in that situation. I wouldn't trust any online game to actually pay off, especially since it has become against the law in the U.S. to conduct any kind of online gambling where there is actually a payoff or any kinds of fees charged. I wouldn't fool with it if I were you.

be cynical and skeptical. if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. remember also to never bet a man at his own game -- you will lose.
