should i download some of his albums? or is it rubbish?

The guy is absolutely brilliant and well worth seeing live. A few of his albums are duffers , but most are excellent. Past Present and Future and Year of The Cat are two of my favoutites. Not too impressed with Russians and 24 Parrots though they contain the odd decent track.. Most of the compilations are worth buying

I had 3 of his record albums in the 70's and I loved his music. It was so different than the mainstream at the time and some of the songs had such haunting melodies. One of my favorites was "Year Of The Cat" and "Time Passages". Check those 2 out first.

Al Stewart? is he still around?
He had an OK song back in the seventies "The Year of the Cat, But I have not heard of him in like 20 years.
I did not buy or even listen to him back then
