My friend who's going to be my college roommate next year pees himself every single time he drinks. Its almost every time and besides telling him not to drink which i know he will in college i want to know if any medicines help this. I know theres overactive bladder medicines but would they work for someone who only gets the problem when they are drunk?

More than likely this is a cause of his drinking, and he probably is an alcoholic. I would definitely consider finding a different roommate because all this guy is going to do is get on your nerves when you are trying to study. Most bladder medicines you are thinking about are not going to work because they are medications he would have to take on a daily basis, not something he could just take one night and have work.

If this guy is peeing himself while he's sleeping after a bout of heavy drinking, then this guy is a BAD Alcoholic! Most people will wake up when they get the urge to pee. If this happens only when he drinks, then brother get your self a new roommate. He's only going to be trouble...alcohol related that is. If it's not related to his drinking, then it sounds like he needs to see a Urologist.

I am not sure. Now, ask a doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give medical advice. People on this site are not!! Good luck.
