No. Just charge it all the way up and you'll be OK. ~

Yes it would be advised to disconnect the battery terminals if you are not going to be using the vehicle. Also I would store the battery in a cool place out of the summer heat. We are located in Arizona where its 110+ now so we know first hand heat is a battery killer.

If you're going away for two months, I'd get a neighbour/relative to drive the thing around the block twice in the middle of the trip. Keeps all of the seals lubricated and the brakes fresh. Will also alleviate all of your concerns about the batteries.

Did you test the 02 sensor? A lot of times a problem before the 02 sensor is bad- spark plugs, air filter,timing....that makes your car run rich. That trips the 02 sensor

You could. You could also put a trickle charger on it. Then your battery would be fully charged when you get back from vacation. Either way. good luck.

simple answer yes to the battery cables. secondly go to the parts store and get a small bottle of STA-BIL fuel stabilizer for your gas tank. it will keep you gas fresh for about six months and prevent problems when you return.
